Vast Talent helps companies and individuals improve their business performance.  What does that mean?  It means that we provide tools and services to make you smarter, faster and more competitive.  Our tools are online training courses (e-learning) and software programs to help companies manage employee training and development like Learning Management Systems and Testing Systems.  We provide consulting, implementation, integration, project management, course design and customer support services.

 

 

Alex Raymond

Founder

 

 

Before founding Vast Talent in 2008, Alex Raymond was involved in the corporate e-learning industry for a decade.  He has worked in some of the largest and most successful companies in the field including SumTotal Systems (as Vice President, Asia-Pacific for 3 years) and THINQ Learning Solutions (in a couple of roles including Head of Europe and Director of Content Strategy). 

Over the years, most of Alex's work has been directly with customers: large, medium and small companies in many different countries and industries. He has worked in the US, Europe and Asia with companies like PricewaterhouseCoopers, HP, St. George Bank, ICICI Bank, China Mobile, China Telecom, and Citibank.  He now splits his time between Hong Kong and Beijing working with our customers in the region.

Alex's education includes a Bachelor's Degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD (France and Singapore). 

 

 

 

Judy Wong

Vast Talent’s newest partner is Judy Wong. Judy is a Compliance professional having spent 9 years in the investment banking industry. She has worked and currently continues to work with one of Wall Street’s major players as a Vice President in the Compliance department. Judy brings with her a wealth of knowledge regarding Compliance programs and how they affect corporations’ reputations in North America and Asia. Judy completed both her undergraduate and graduated degrees at the University of Toronto, Canada.

What makes us different?

We focus mostly on the HOW of e-learning projects, not the WHAT to sell our customers.  Most of our work is spent putting various pieces of technology together to help customers deal with pressing HR and training problems.  We also make it a priority to ensure that you're getting the most for your money.  That's true whether you are an individual who just bought an online certification course, or a large company implementing a learning and performance management system.  Our job is not to find ways to sell software and disappear, but to solve problems and make things work.

That brings me to another important distinction between us and other companies.  We have a simple philosophy: we won't sell you what you don't need.  Because we have an experienced team, we understand the "do's" and "don'ts" of e-learning.  So we'll spend time with you upfront, helping to build and implement your e-learning strategy.  That includes providing advice on what tools, courses or services you should buy now, and which ones you should defer.

We work like this because there are too many companies out there that just want to sell a bunch of courses (or software) and move on.  They disappear right when you need them and don't provide ongoing support (or if they do, it's at the end of a phone line, and not in your office where you need it).  But for us, your success is our success, and that means planning and executing projects to meet your needs, not ours.
