About the APRM Certification
The Associate Professional Risk Manager is a new PRMIA certificate program intended for risk management support staff and professionals working in related fields such as auditing, accounting, legal and systems development who want to understand fundamental risk management methods and practices.
Designed to be mathematically and theoretically less detailed than the Professional Risk Manager (PRM™) certification, the new program will cover the essential concepts allowing non-specialists to interpret risk management information and reports, make critical assessments and evaluate the implications and the limitations of such results. Easy to obtain study materials and widely available exam options will provide candidates with optimum flexibility to fit the preparation and testing process into their work schedules.
Associate Professional Risk Manager Exam Registration:

- The exams are computer-based and the questions are all multiple choice
- The Exam is offered in nearly 4,000 locations, in over 140 countries
The Associate PRM Exam is computer-based and the questions are all multiple choice. The exam consists of 90 questions which are randomly drawn, according to the syllabus order and weightings, from a larger exam database. An exam score of 60% or greater is required.
Individuals who have successfully passed the Associate PRM Certificate Exam are exempt from taking Exam IV of the PRM Designation.
